Extended Day
Extended Care
Our onsite Extended Care Program provides before and after school childcare services for Woods Academy students. The program is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Human Resources Child Care Administration. The morning program takes place from 7:15 AM- 8:00 AM. Half-day Montessori students come at 11:30 AM and are joined by full-day students from 3:00 PM-6:00 PM. A separate fee is charged for Extended Care.
The Learning Center
The Learning Center provides supervised, quiet study time with classroom teachers for students in grades five through eight from 3:15 PM until 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Athletics
The Woods Academy Athletic Program reinforces the goals of the school’s mission while helping students build character through competitive and developmental athletics for students in grades five through eight. The Woods Academy is a member of the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) and competes in the following CAC programs:

*In addition to these spring CAC programs, The Woods organizes JV and Varsity lacrosse teams for both boys and girls as well as a baseball team. These are non-league, competitive teams.
