Not only is Carol Dyer an accomplished painter of early American traditions, she taught Art at The Woods Academy for 20 years! She is well known for her “Washington Christmas Series.” These paintings of historic buildings have commanded significant audiences throughout the country.
In honor of the 30th Anniversary of The Woods Academy, we have commissioned a new painting of the school. Ms. Dyer’s authenticity and meticulous attention to detail are trademarks of her paintings, and her rendering of The Woods Academy is no different! Her painting depicts the architecture of the new addition to our building, and her scenes brim with the activity of dozens of students, teachers and teams moving joyfully through the campus. This original work of art captures the heart of The Woods Academy and can be yours to remember treasured memories of days at The Woods Academy.
Carol’s original painting will be included among the many fabulous items in this year’s Live Auction, which will be held on April 8, 2006 at the North Bethesda Marriott Hotel and Conference Center.
