In February, our Student Council raised $1125.00 to purchase 10 tents as temporary shelter for the people of Haiti after the devastating earthquake.  Sixth graders Molly Shriver, Caroline Wyckoff, Meredith Nolan, Mary Kate Myers, and Carina Franco raised $300.00 at a bake sale during the pep rally for the same cause.  One tent protects as many as 15 people from the elements day and night.

Sister Claire Daneau, a Sister of the Holy Cross who has spent 36 years in Haiti, organized the effort. We received a lovely thank you note from Sister expressing gratitude for our students' thoughtfulness.
