On Thursday, June 3, the 7th grade French Class prepared and ate an authentic French Dejeuner. The children were split into groups to prepare the food. Eric Kudiwu and Alexis Mahshigian prepared the tapenade and the tarte dijonaise a la tomate. Adriana Dropulic, Nadine Harmsen, and Matthew Little made the coq au vin. Lilliana Hatoum and Jack Ridenour made the salade verte and the tarte au citron. With these courses, they also enjoyed genuine French cheeses and fresh baguettes. Like a typical French meal, the children ate their food slowly, one course at a time, and engaged in conversation among their classmates and teachers. Madame Pelaia and Mrs. Burke lead the students in preparing the meal. “Eric Kudiwu said, “I especially liked the coq au vin and all the cheeses!” Everyone had a wonderful experience!
