Thanks From the 2nd Grade Brownies!

The Second Grade Brownies had great success selling cookies on Sunday at Giant.  Thank you for your support!  They will have another booth sale at the same location ( the Giant on Arlington Rd, Bethesda ) this Saturday, March 6th from 1-3 and also on Saturday, March 13th from 1-3 in front of the Barnes and Noble on Bethesda Ave.

It is not an overstatement to say that this has been an historic year for basketball at the Woods. I want to extend my hearty congratulations to both the Boys’ JV and Boys’ Varsity teams on their first place finishes in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Tournament. Last Thursday, our JV Boys beat Norwood in the finals 39-37. Yesterday, our Varsity Boys beat Langley 90-46. The Varsity Boys were undefeated in league play this year. In tournaments and non-league games the Varsity beat top area teams including Bullis, Mater Dei and The Heights. The Varsity team finished second place in the Gonzaga and Georgetown Prep tournaments by beating all opponents but one, Holy Name School.

JV Basketball Season Wrap-up

Congratulation to our JV Boys and Girls Basketball teams on their successful seasons.  JV Girls finished second in the league and second in the tournament.  JV Boys finished second in the league and our boys ended the year with a stunning one point victory in the CAC tournament finals!  The boys first place tournament finish is their second in three years.
