Art is a hands-on experience at The Woods. Students experiment with a variety of media including drawing, printmaking, painting and ceramics. Students develop their skills in an environment that emphasizes creative expression. Upper School students can choose elective classes in digital imaging or mixed media. The music curriculum explores a variety of genres including jazz, pop, rock and world music.
Upper school students learn guitar, song writing and musical theater in special elective classes. Students have a chance to perform, act, and speak in public each year. Library theater provides the set for Lower School drama. Upper School elective classes perform each trimester.
