Throughout the year, The Woods Academy has many special events. We encourage all families to join us and we also welcome new ideas. We would love for you to get involved with by serving on one of the committees or attending the event. Volunteering allows opportunities to get to know other parents and support Woods at the same time. We also welcome and encourage grandparents, alumni, and parents of alumni to participate in and attend these special events.
Tickets for Madagascar Jr. and the Arts Celebration are now available. Seats will be assigned as ticket order forms are returned. The best seats will go to the families that return their forms soonest. Please note that floor seating for children up to 4th grade will be available at both performances. Please specify this option on the ticket order form. In addition, we invite Alumni to attend the performance for free. Please also indicate the number of Alumni who will attend on the ticket order form.
Please download the ticket order form and follow the directions to purchase tickets. In addition to buying tickets, parents and family members can place a message in the playbill, buy business advertisements, and/ or donate money and become a patron of the Arts at The Woods. You can also order a DVD of the Madagascar Jr. performance.

Volunteers are needed to assist in organizing the student art gallery and exhibit hall from May 15-19, to sell STARS to the students during lunch May 16-19, and volunteers can help on May 18 and 19 by selling snacks, STARS, and roses just before the play, during intermission, and immediately after the play. (You'll still be able to see the performance.)

For your convenience, the Arts Celebration team has arranged for hot dog meal combos (hot dog, chips, and water bottle) to be sold before the Thursday and Friday performances of Madagascar Jr. Each combo will cost $5.00.
Other snacks, candy, and water bottles will be sold at our concessions table in the atrium before the show and during intermission. You will also be able to purchase roses for the performers and STARS at the concessions table.
Please come prepared to pay CASH for the hot dog meal combo, water, concessions, roses, and STARS.
On both Thursday, May 18, and Friday May 19 there will be OFFSITE PARKING.

Shuttle Bus Schedule for Thursday:
- Shuttle buses will run from 3:00 to 7:00 PM.
- Parents are to pick up their children at the regular dismissal time and drive to one of the churches. They will then be transported back to school.
- Showtime is 4:30 PM.
- The last shuttle bus on Thursday will leave at 7:00 PM.

Thank you to the entire Woods family for supporting Woodsfest on Saturday, March 4, 2017 here at The Woods Academy. As a result of your collective efforts, we brought the entire community together for a memorable and fun night that raised $120,000 in vital funding for our incredible school!
2nd Annual STEAM ShowcaseSTEAM is a framework for teaching across disciplines – science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics. STEAM education is engaging, hands-on, and reality-based with the goal of developing knowledgeable citizens who can keep up with the modern world. On Saturday, December 3, 2016, students came to The Woods and engaged in the dozens of hands-on activities and interactive displays Woods Faculty from all grade levels prepared to highlight The Woods STEAM curriculum. It was a fun and educational day for everyone!
12th Annual Woods Academy Golf Classic
The 12th Annual Woods Academy Golf Classic was held on a perfect fall day at the Bretton Woods Golf & Country Club on Friday, October 7, 2016. It was our best Golf Classic yet as golfers, sponsors, volunteers, & staff came together in fellowship to raise funds for the Sharing in Growth Fund for Financial Aid which enables us to retain and attract the best students in our area.

32nd Annual Grandparents & Special Friends Day
The 32nd Annual Grandparents and Special Friends Day was held here at The Woods on Friday, October 7, 2016. We enjoyed the largest attendance ever from our cherished Grandparents & Special Friends. Thank you to the entire amazing WAPTO team (led by Brooks Kenny, WAPTO President, & Kerrie Rushton, WAPTO Vice President) and all Woods Faculty & Staff for making the day so memorable.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
