The seventh graders are hard at work learning all about the Paris metro system. After learning the basics, they then used the official RATP website to find out what type of ticket to buy in what circumstances, then learned how to use both the city map and metro map to find the most convenient metro station to major monuments, and finally learned to follow directions on the metro in French in order to find their way from point A to point B.
Next, they will learn to give their own directions in French, which they’ll need to do when we’re in Paris this spring. I will be there to make sure we don’t get terribly off-course, but students will take charge and lead us where we need to go. Allons-y! (Let’s go!)
