In religion, Second Grade has been busy preparing for their First Communion. In connection to First Communion, the month of May we are focusing on honoring Our Mother, Mary.

We have learned to say the rosary on each of our own rosaries.

We are also processing down the hall with prayerful hands to our Blessed Mother located in the front of the school. We stand by Mary and say 3 Hail Mary prayers. Two girls then place a flower crown on Mary’s head. We will continue to honor Mary throughout this month and each of our Second Grade girls will have a chance to crown Mary.

We are so excited for our Second graders who are receiving First Communion this month at their parishes. Thank you parents for sharing pictures with us!
