After over a year of Zoom music classes, I am thrilled to have my upper school students back in-person! At last, we’re all in the same room making music together! Drum circles are the perfect way to jump back in.

 

After over a year of Zoom music classes, I am thrilled to have my upper school students back in-person! At last, we’re all in the same room making music together! Drum circles are the perfect way to jump back in.

Drum circles teach:

Our “music team” is called an:

 . . . a group of musicians, actors, or dancers who perform together.

It’s also a great way to develop

To “get in the groove,” drummers have to follow the same

and, at the same time, improvise their own unique

To make a great rhythm

students have to leave “holes” (rests) for other students to play in.

Listening, watching, respecting, and making space for others aren’t just great music skills, they’re great life skills. So come on into the music room and “get in the groove!”
