Volunteering at The Woods

Our parents are the heart of our community at The Woods. Their dedication and involvement create a warm, supportive, and vibrant environment for our students. Whether organizing events, helping in classrooms, or lending a hand wherever it's needed, their contributions make a real difference. Read below to see why our parents love volunteering at The Woods and how they make a difference.

I enjoy volunteering because it allows me to give back to the school that has given so much to my children. I also hope to spread the great news of The Woods Academy to others in our community through
my volunteer activities.

Volunteering allows me to know my daughter’s school life better, which helps us develop a better
parent-child bond.

The Woods community of faculty, staff, and parents are all striving to build a more just and inclusive world. We see it in the growth of our children and desire to reinforce the behavior we want to see more of in the world. thank you for all that you do.

- Ajit Verghese

I enjoy volunteering because I always learn something new - about the students, the parents, the teachers, and the staff. This year felt especially meaningful to be involved in the getting-ready stages for the play as our 8th graders prepare to move in new directions. It was a joy to see how they engaged with each other and with the teachers and just the excitement they held as student leaders. Woods has an extraordinary community, and volunteering offers a way to strengthen relationships.
