School Service in Grade 8 - Assignments

Good Morning, Class of 2027 and Parents!

As you know, we expect our 8th-grade students to be leaders and examples to the younger students. One important way for them to assume this responsibility is to live their faith in service to others. We require 8th-grade students to share the responsibility for being a greeter during morning arrival. In addition, the Advancement Office will need their help from time to time with special projects.  Mrs. Flynn and Mrs. Shoemaker will also welcome their input in planning future Chapel services, as well as Prayer Partner activities. All 8th-grade students are expected to participate in Service to the School at least once per week. Earlier this week, they completed a survey to help us determine the best service assignment for them this school year.

Here are the initial Service to School assignments. Please review the assignments and let Mrs. Shoemaker know as soon as possible if you need to be reassigned. Service will begin Tuesday, September 8.

Please note the following arrival requirements:

• Morning Greeter at Montessori Entrance
  • Arrival Time: 7:50 AM
  • Enter via the Front Office, go to your locker, check in with your advisor, and report to the assigned location by 7:55 AM.
• Morning Greeter at Middle School Entrance
  • Arrival Time: 7:50 AM
  • Enter via the Front Office, go to your locker, check in with your advisor, and report to the assigned location by 7:55 AM.
• Morning Announcements & Birthday Board
  • Arrival Time: 7:55 AM
  • Go to your locker, check in with your advisor, and report to the Front Office by 8:05 AM. Announcements should happen by 8:10 AM.
  • BB: Update the easel in the hallway with the birthdays being celebrated each day
