Technology
At The Woods Academy, technology is an important part of a student’s academic pursuits. The Woods sees technology as a way to enhance and extend learning. Technology allows teachers to further engage and motivate students in their exploration of the curriculum.
Technology in the Classroom
Our various uses of technology support innovative learning. The Woods Academy has a robust wireless network that allows all classrooms to use an array of mobile devices. The school has a one to one device program for students in Grades 1 through 8. Each classroom in Grades 1 through 8 is furnished with LCD projectors and an audio system. Several classrooms throughout the school have document cameras to allow teachers to easily share resources and student work. Each of our Preschool classrooms is equipped with a tablet station. Students and teachers have access to various software programs that support student education. Many of the programs are adaptive and allow for personalized learning.
