When you think about your math classrooms in middle school, what comes to mind? You may be like us and remember memorizing facts and formulas, completing mountains of workbook pages, working independently, teacher-centered instruction and tests (lots of tests). While there are benefits to aspects of traditional math learning, there are also so many innovative ways to reach students.
Character Development
Character development for The Woods Academy students involves fostering positive traits, values, and social skills that contribute to their overall well-being and success. It goes beyond academic excellence and focuses on nurturing qualities that help students become responsible, respectful, and caring individuals - students that ultimately lead a life of significance.
Character development is integrated into daily life at The Woods Academy during recess, guidance and counseling lessons, discussions in the classroom, and other interactive activities. We also look to the parents and caregivers of our students to have a cohesive approach to character development.
