Dear Families,

Welcome to The Woods Academy. Whether you're just beginning to explore what a Woods education looks like, or you're already part of our community, I'm glad you're here.

I've watched a shy Grade 8 student shine on the main stage at our Spring Musical and a Kindergarten student present to parents on Australia, along with a Lower School student helping a friend at recess. That's what a Woods education looks like in practice — not just a mission statement, but something you can see happening every day, in classrooms and hallways and on our six-acre campus.

With small classes, daily Spanish and French starting at age four, and a community that's 60% Catholic and 40% representing other faith traditions, our students learn to think, believe, and grow alongside people who don't always see the world the same way they do. That's intentional. We believe children shouldn't have to choose between rigorous academics and a joyful childhood, between strong values and genuine belonging — and every day, I get to watch them have both.

Our faculty and staff know each child by name, by learning style, and by what makes them light up. That kind of attention isn't an accident; it's the reason families come to The Woods and stay through Grade 8 — and it's part of why 100% of our graduates are accepted into their first-choice high school.

It is difficult to capture in words the feeling that being at The Woods brings. The best way to see the caring community that is The Woods is to come spend time with us.
