What to Expect on Auction Night

When you arrive at The Woods Coral, please check-in to get your bidding numbers and your bidding paddle - and then it's time to saddle up and have some fun at our Party with a Purpose!

Silent Auction & Cocktail Hour - and the Mechanical Bull | 6:00 - 8:00 PM

Woods Wonders, weekend getaways, wine, gift cards, tickets and more! The Silent Auction is a great time to grab a drink, catch up with friend, ride that mechanical bull, and, most importantly, bid!

Dinner | 8:10 PM

Enjoy delicious bbq from Mission BBQ and the music of Georgia Lea & Stone Cold Country.

Heads or Tails: Win a Frye gift certificate! | 8:50 PM

Before the Live Auction begins, our auctioneer will announce: “Place your hand on your head (for heads) or on your bottom (for tails).” Everyone who has chosen to participate stands and places his or her hand on his/her head or bottom. Our auctioneer flips a coin. If it lands on heads, then all those with their hands on their heads remain standing. Those with their hands on their bums sit down (or vice versa if the coin lands on tails). We’ll keep going until we have a winner!

$25 to participate – you can add this to your invoice when you check-in.

Live Auction | 9:00 PM

The Live Auction portion of the night offers a limited number of exclusive items, such as VIP experiences, getaways, and more.

Dancing with Georgia Lea and Cold Stone Country immediately following the Live Auction

When the Live Auction is over, please stay and dance the night away.

Ideally, all items purchased at the Auction should be taken home that evening.

Personal checks and credit cards will be accepted.

Transportation and Parking

We encourage you to take Uber or Lyft. We will have off-site parking at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church on Bradley Blvd and a shuttle bus will bring you to the backdoor of The Woods.

The Auction supports a great cause - The Woods!

Money raised at the Auction allows us to enhance and advance our innovative curriculum, offer inspiring world languages, arts, music, and athletic programs, and give our students enriching opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

What makes a great Auction item? Items that are unique – whether an experience, a thing, or a trip. This can be anything from a private dining experience with a chef, to you sharing your expertise with a small group of parents. For example, you’re an artist, so you donate a “Sip and Paint” night at your home for a few couples or friends. You provide your studio, living room, etc., supplies, and a few bottles of wine and lead a small group class. Or you love to cook – offer to make dinner and deliver it to someone’s home. Get creative – and don’t hesitate to reach out to an auction co-chair or Traci to talk through an idea.

How can I help bring in items for the Silent or Live Auction? Having a connection (being a frequent patron, friend, family member, etc.) to a business, organization, or noteworthy individual is indeed helpful, but assisting the Auction team with emailing and outreach is incredibly helpful as well!
